One of my systems is LMDE 5 having Firefox 115.0.2. Only after this has happened, you can restore your backed up FF 115.0.2 profile and use it. The important thing with respect to Firefox is: Firefox will be updated from 98.0 to 115.0.2 or 115.0.3. It will be a really large amount of update packages. Once you have installed LMDE 5 on your SSD or harddisk, you should immediately update the fresh installation with all the software updates, which Update Manager will offer you. Therefore you cannot test your FF 115.0.2 profile on the LMDE 5 live desktop. As a consequence it brings along a Firefox version, which is outdated by now.įirefox 98.0 simply does not understand your Firefox 115.0.2 profile. The LMDE 5 installation image is several months old. I tried to update the LMDE-firefox, but that is not allowed by the distribution. The reason was, because the LMDE-firefox was the version 98.0 (64-bit) and my original-firofox was the version 115.2. I can't give you the original-message, because I found no way to safe it in the Live-System. I copied my original-profile-files to the live-firefox-files: /home/mint/.mozilla/firefox/fault-releaseīut I get an errormessage. I tested with the lmde-5-cinnamon-64bit.iso Live-version.
